Quality and Safety - Speak Up for Patient Safety
Speak Up For Patient Safety (SUFPS) is a Vanderbilt-based Promoting Professional Accountability Program created in partnership with the Cognitive Institute.
SUFPS is an evidence-based framework which escalates awareness of patient safety and encourages staff to challenge potentially risky behaviour in Ramsay Health Care sites.
Components include graded assertiveness training for all patient-facing staff, a feedback platform for staff to report both positive and negative experiences, a peer messenger system, and professional accountability leaders.
The program is about empowering all employees to promote patient safety and provides a platform to ensure staff maintain high professional standards across the organisation.
